Historical and technical description

Miriam Mauri
Gorizia stitch was invented in 1946 by Emma Kocevar Malner, a teacher developed at School of Wien, and for several years was Headmistress of Gorizia School.
Really, two different techniques are called Gorizia stitch: the first one is made with 3 pairs; two vertical of them are overlapped between themselves and cross the running or active pair; the second one, looks as a ribbon with two variations, is made with more pairs crossed and turned alternately to right or to left.
