Italia Invita - International Forum of Lace and Embroidery

Aims of the Cultural Association Italia Invita founded on 18th October 2001 (clause 4 of Memorandum)

to provide occasions for people active in the arts and crafts fields of embroidery and lacemaking to meet
to enable a reappraisal of said activities and their spreading in and outside Italy

In order to achieve these aims this Memorandum sets out the following activities:

organisation of the International Forum "Italia Invita"
cultural exchanges between Italian and foreign lace and embroidery schools; promotion of cultural visits, courses, meetings, seminars, exhibitions, publications

Group visit to the Journée des Dentellières Suisses (June 2004) and to the Oidfa Congress in Prague (July 2004), in Athens (2006)
Coordination of the Italian exhibitors at the Italian Gallery of the Knitting & Stitching Show in London (Oct. 2005) and Harrogate (Nov.2005)
Organisation of various embroidery, lace and design workshops (details on the italian web site)
